It’s with much regret, I have to report the death of the President of the Bowmen of Ardleigh, Tom Hall, on 26th November 2023, at the age of 98 Tom was our last remaining Founder Member from the first days of our Club in the early 1950s. Our Annual Field Championships took place on Sunday 22nd October 2023. The day was, again, very pleasant with lots of sunshine. Chris Phillips, assisted by other members, put on a “Zombie Shoot” using some display mannequins he happened upon in his travels. Suitably dressed and with applied gore and ultra-violet lighting, those present shot arrows at them with some degree of glee. Definitely something different.
